marin family session
I love unbridled enthusiasm. Don’t you? These girls had great ideas for our photo shoot. On this particular day we moved around Marin trying to outrun the fog. And the whole family just rolled with it. Such a pleasure! We started in Tiburon and finished up at the Marin Art & Garden Center. Thank you S. Family and welcome to Marin!
tiburon family session
This was the first ever family portrait session for this family who were the successful bid on an auction item I donated to the Ross Valley Nursery School in Kentfield. I think they did a fantastic job, no? The children, so loving and sweet with each other, were an absolute pleasure to photograph. The setting at a yacht club in Tiburon was stunning and especially meaningful as the family is starting to all sail together. Thank you C. Family!
graduation
I love learning the reason behind the booking of a photography session. More often than not it involves celebrating a family milestone. The arrival of a new baby. Capturing a new toddler stage (sitting, crawling, walking). Moving into a new home and thus the need to fill the walls with beautiful, welcoming family portraits. Or, as in the case of this session, the entire family celebrating a high school graduation. As the first child goes off to college, the session marked the bittersweetness of both an ending and a beginning in the family’s daily life.
I love this final image. And that they will always have it.

Ross Newborn Session
I love newborn sessions! This little fellow is just 6 days old. He slept through the entire session and was a dream to photograph. (I think he had been awake most of the night, sorry mom and dad!) Big sister was a huge help (click here to check her out in a previous session) and loved swaddling her doll just like her baby brother. I love seeing their interaction. In four weeks this newborn looked completely different. Those first few days of life are magical and fleeting. Did I tell you I love newborn sessions?!
